BEYOND CONSTELLATION: Steel grey filly sired by Beyond His Candy out of Testimonial Circumstances.
You've probably only seen this filly one other time in Year Sixteen at the Unicorn Horn Prospect Dirt where she ultimately placed poorly in seventh. Low placings in the prospect 'trial' races often spell either bad news or an incredibly slow start to a young racehorse's career. Trainer John Murchison says otherwise, of course. Nicknamed 'Astral' is an incredibly claustrophobic animal that is hard to keep calm in the gates. The sooner she's out of the gates, the better. Luckily, she makes up for this flaw by being highly sensitive to any leg or hand commands and can go from 0 to 100 easily on the track, where you'll often see her wearing blinds and cotton in her ears when she's not on the training track at the stable.
She is sired by Grayson Meadows' own Breeding Hall of Famer, BEYOND HIS CANDY. This Y4 stallion is primarily where Astral gets her good looks from and her outstanding conformation. She is the third foal by this sire and is related to Beyond The Stars and Ghostly Girl. Beyond His Candy retired as a G1 racehorse with fourteen wins on the dirt surface, many of his placings were in large fields as well. Beyond Constellation is out of Grayson Meadows' TESTIMONAL CIRCUMSTANCES, a Year Five G2 mare who is the dam to Barely Legal. Astral acquired her immense amount of unmatchable energy from her dam which will be sure to aid her out on the track. KC Racing is eager to see how this filly will fare on the dirt distance in the years to come.

ICARUS FLIGHT: Grey filly sired by Forbidden to Fly out of Sizzling Dawn.
Iggy is a dainty thing standing at around 15.1hh, but here long, slender legs thankfully gives her the illusion of being taller than she really is (usually). This filly is always hungry for attention and cannot stand to be ignored. If you're the one tasked with walking or grooming her, you'd better act like you're married to her, take one look away from her and you're bound to get bit, or get your toes stepped on. There's no such thing as personal space when hanging around this girl, she's the overly attached girlfriend that you never wanted to see in a horse. She'll breathe down your neck, nibble at your shirt collar, your hair, attempt to chunk your phone across the room, you name it. She doesn't stand still when led and typically requires another horse in the pony parade to pester and keep her busy. In all honesty, we do truly love Iggy at KC Racing she brings laughter to the barn and can easily brighten anyone's day. If you're ever feeling down on a race day where Icarus Flight is running, head on down to her stall and you're bound to leave with a smile. Look forward to seeing Icarus Flight on the shorter dirt distances.
She's out of Indigo Morning Stable's GHF Hall of Famer and multi-title winner, FORBIDDEN TO FLY. This Y9 sprinter dirt stallion is sired by Hall of Famer, Flying Colours and out of Breeding Hall of Famer, Forbidden Wings. A lot of power and speed is provided for Icarus Flight just by her sire with major wins as a juvenile in the Breeder's Cup Juvenile, Alot to Live Up to Stakes and Magic Millions Colt Dirt Sprint before continuing to win majorly each season with other wins that include the Spring Cup G1 Dirt Sprint, Speed Demon Memorial Stakes, Breeders' Cup Sprint and even the Dubai World Sprint. Icarus Flight has big hooves to filly just from her sire, and depending on how she runs during the first half of Y17 we may even direct her towards the Breeders' Cup Juvenile as she definately has the gas to get there. Of course we haven't forgotten this filly's dam, also owned by Indigo Morning Stables, SIZZLING DAWN, this is probably where Icarus Flight gets her determination and sheer willpower from. Her dam has had her fair share of major wins in the Magic Millions Fillies Dirt as well as the Preakness Stakes, Risorgimento Derby and Red Legend Derby.

LOUSIANA BLUES: Bay filly sired by Jazzaway out of Santana's Moment
A prime example of a dirt classic hopeful and another filly on the small side. Affectionately called Lulu, this pint sized motorhorse is the gentlest creature you could ever encounter, even as a yearling and now as a two year old. She's got a good bit of energy, as to be expected with a Thoroughbred, but nothing that's hard to manage. She lives to please her handlers and will do just about anything to get an extra sweet treat or two. She's prone to causing a ruckus with other horses and doesn't hesistate to give a friendly hello to other horses before the race, even trying to groom a horse or two..or three. She's a simple horse that's often easy to understand and predict as she doesn't do anything out of the ordinary. She loves to run and that's what she does.
Simple, sweet Lousiana Blues is sired by Nature Blue Stables JAZZAWAY who retired as a G3 stallion. Through her sire, Lulu acquired her immense energy and readiness to be on the move, while she acquired her sweet and loving personality from her dam. Jazzaway is a dual stallion who placed in a good number of major races, namely the Azalea Cup Cups, The Wire Finish Cup Juvenile Mile and even the Royal Red Richard Memorial Stakes. Through Jazzaway, Lousiana Blues finds herself a descendant of KC Racing's million-dollar winning broodmare, Point Away who was acquired last year. The filly's dam hails from Nature Blue Stables and is known as SANTANA'S MOMENT. While neither of the filly's parents rank in a high grade, Lousiana Blues did acquire the best of personalities which is always sought after when looking to combine bloodlines later on down the road. Only time will tell if Lousiana Blues will surpass either of her parents.

SWEET TALKER: Dark Bay filly by Immortal Flight out of Strictly Speaking.
A monster of a dirt distance filly. At two years old this filly is already towering over many of our other horses, at the moment she's about 16.3hh and is expected to mature to 17.0hh. Fortunately for her jockey and handlers, this filly is a real sweetheart which brought everyone to nickname her 'Sweet'. While other horses may bully her around the paddock, Sweet'll hardly budge at their antics, even as a yearling. So far she lacks any of the stereotype that's often stamped onto mares. She's quiet up until someone's in the saddle and then it's like something clicks and gears start churning. She'll prance and throw up her head and put on quite the show as she's a graceful mover. Wherever you want to go, Sweet will take you there without being asked twice.
She's sired by Grayson Meadows' IMMORTAL FLIGHT, and through her sire she's distantly related to the Turf Triple Crown winner, Bella Luna. This monster of a horse is where Sweet acquired her height among other things. The difference with Sweet is she shows no interest in turf having ran poorly on the turf training tracks at KCRS, but exceled on the dirt tracks. Immortal Flight accumulated over $2 million in earnings through his race career and kept a steady consistency over the years. Trainer John Murchison doesn't expect much out of this filly in terms of major races as she lacks that aggressiveness needed for real competition out on the track. However, her speed could hopefully land her in a couple of good placings over her career. She's out of Grayson Meadows' STRICTLY SPEAKING, a foundation mare that sports the stereotypical mare stereotype. Through her dam, Sweet Talker is the half sibling to War Cry (G1), Strictly Royal (G3) and Strictly A Hero (G3).

RISING WONDER: Chestnut colt by The Rising out of No Wonder
One of the first turf horses to ever come into our hands, everyone at KC Racing is eager to see how Rising Wonder will do in his debut year and the years to come. 'Kent' is a colt who usually gets into trouble and probably has a good deal of ADD and an extra dose of curiousity. Mischief is this colt's middle name and if it's too quiet around the barn, Kent's probably gotten out of stall or paddock again. The thing about this colt is that he has a ticklish girth and will often kick out if you hit one of his tickle spots, nowadays we just try to get his girth on and secure as fast as possible. In order to keep him in the paddock we've had to provide him with a variety of toys in his own personal paddock just so he won't cause trouble. It's a good thing he's a relatively focused horse once on the track.
This red colt is sired by Nature Blue Stable's THE RISING, a G2 stallion. Let me start by saying that this colt is nothing like his sire, this colt is a kid at heart and probably will stay that way. Through his sire he's a half brother to KC Racing's Rise Me Gold, a filly who hit G4 in the middle of her juvenile season. Rising Wonder's dam is also owned by Nature Blue Stable and is known as NO WONDER. Through his dam, Rising Wonder finds himself as a grandson to MERRY BAY KING, a foundation Y1 that was inducted into both the GHF Hall of Fame and GHF Breeding Hall of Fame along with multiple titles, one of which was Year Nine's Sire of the Year. At 18 years of age in Y17, Merry Bay King is truly a horse to behold and we can hardly express our excitement to not only own a grandson by him, but to also have a grandson that is almost a standalone clone to him. Having placed in multiple races throughout his career, we can only hope that Rising Wonder can amount to half the horse that his grandsire happened to be during his active career.

OH THE IRONY: Dark bay filly by Comeuppance out of The Prize.
KC Racing's first turf filly and rival to Sweet Talker in size at 17.1hh, Irony is a handful in her own right. She tends to enjoy shouting her neighs and nickers at any and everyone who passes her stall, calling her audible would be an understatement. Outside from not using her inside voice, Irony acts like how a lady should, dainty, precise and pretty. That is, until you unclip the lead from her halter inside the paddock. Out in the field she'll run down her own shadow on the fence row and challenge other horses to a race across the field, a challenge that often goes ignored by horses trying to catch a nap or two before having to go back inside for the night. Speaking of night, trying to catch this filly after letting her loose in the paddock requires strategy and multiple handlers due to the fact Irony loves a good game of tag. Once everyone's out of breath trying to run after her, she'll often waltz up behind someone and nibble on their back as though wondering why everyone stopped chasing her all of a sudden.
Irony is sired by Intreprid Racing's COMEUPPANCE who sired the Turf Triple Tiara and Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Filly winner, Lissome and Triple Crown contender, Baciami, half siblings to Oh The Irony. Saying that the filly had a lot to live up to would be an understatement. Comeuppance himself accumulated over a million dollars in earnings over his career with twenty-six wins and a great race consistency up until his retirement. Through her sire is where Irony acquired her feisty temperament and hate for losing, this filly's got a fire that won't be put out. She's out of Intreprid Racing's THE PRIZE, a unique black roan mare who foaled Y15's Princess Cup winner, Girl Talk and Prize Me Proud, who sired KC Racing's Sylvanite who placed third in the Virgina Derby Distance Series and one of the legs of the CTT, Wonder Wonder Where Stakes.
