Welcome to The Wire!
The Wire (TW) was established back in the summer of 2008 by Soliel and Cavallo. The purpose of this site was to provide another location for members from Major Horse Shows (MHS) to come and race. As time went one the members grew up and the site went inactive.
As fate would have it, Cavallo returned to the SIM scene and struck up an alliance with Green Horse Fields (GHF). Together, these sites have over 7 real life years of activity and they don't show any signs of stopping.
As a result of The Wire's special relationship with GHF, there are some things you must understand.
- Both sites operate on the same time schedule
- Horses are registered on GHF
- Race series alternate between both tracks
It is recommended then that TW members be registered also on GHF to enhance their time here on the tracks. We find that going between the two tracks offers a realistic aura that isn't found in any other horse racing SIM.
The community between TW and GHF is healthy, fun and competitive. You will not find a more unique and fun horse racing SIM.
Because of the unique dynamic of The Wire and GHF there needs to be some further explanations.
Both tracks operate on the same six month calendar.
If you enter your horse on a race on TW, you cannot enter a horse the same week on GHF and vice versa.
If you wish to race on either track, your horse must be registered. There is a horse registry here on TW, but for breeding records and intent we desire that you also register your horse on GHF (Here is the GHF Registry)
This isn't as complicated as it seems, but we'd like for you to have a good idea of what goes on here at The Wire. If you decide that you just want to race solely on The Wire, that is absolutely fine. You are by no means obligated to race on GHF, but having both tracks provides you and your horses with numerous opportunities.
