demanding independance,
july week one
[attr="class","landfill-scroll"]
RISE ME GOLD: This filly has had an incredibly rough start this year. It wasn't until April that she broke her maiden and became G5. She's going to be kept to the undercards as personally I'm worried about how she'll fare this year and I don't want her to fall too far back. She did, however, secure a win in the Summer Cup G5 Dirt in May and that was something to boast about. She's one win from G4 and if she's lucky, she can end the year as G3, giving her a headstart for her three year old career in Y17.

ROUSSONG: Roussong has yet to run underneath my stable colors as he was acquired recently in a trade which ended up in me giving Ripley, Key West. This colt is hyped up on energy and at times is hard to handle. He's done nicely in HOTY races for it being his debut year so he might be heading into the July Juvenile Dirt Faceoff over at GHF, it'll give him something to use his energy fo instead of tearing down the stall walls.
[break][break]
SMOOTH CRIMINAL: Cri has started out her debut year much like her older brother, getting close to first place, but not so much. There aren't many plans for her until she breaks her maiden, however, she will be directed towards the Seaspray Cup Dirt Maiden over at GHF later this week. I'm considering working her up to G5/G4 then possibly putting her up for sale.
[break][break]
PARTYATTHEDISCO: The resident drama queen. She recently completely bombed out of the Firebird Marathon due to her never running on dirt which will probably lead me to keeping her on turf for the remainder of the year, before introducing her properly to dirt next year. For now, I'm going to focus on her tackling her maiden. I have every intention of getting a better record for this filly than that of her recently retired sister, Mardi Gras.
[break][break]
MUGGATHUGGA: The stable favorite. Mugs is coming along nicely for his three year old season and although he's no Triple Crown or Canadian Triple Crown hopeful he's still an incredibly consistent colt elsewhere. He's consistent primarily with firsts and seconds and I'm working hard to keep it that way for him. Last month he was on fire at the Tonalist Stakes and came home with a first place win after an incredibly long second place drought. He'll be traveling with Rise Me Gold in order to tackle the Seaspray Cup G4 Dirt at GHF this week before taking on a lesser undercard towards the end of the month. I want to get him HOTY ready at some point and I am strongly considering entering him in one HOTY race each month providing the competition isn't too tough.
[break][break]
SYLVANITE: The lovely queen of KC Racing. This little filly (she's only 15.3hh) has a lot of heart and she's had a nice start to her 3 year old season. She flunked in the Acorn Stakes and came close to getting third in the Woodbine Oaks last week. She'll be getting this month off so that her mind will be fresh for the second leg of the Canadian Triple Tiara, Wonder Where Stakes in August. He's two wins away from G4, slow and steady tends to win the race at times.
[break][break]
ESCAPE ARTIST: Currently my sole sprinter. Although he overpowered a group of higher ranked fillies last December it's starting to seem like that had only been a fluke as of this year. Escape Artist will be strictly kept to undercards this year, he raced in the Boy's Festival, but the HOTY race didn't seem to be his cup of tea. He'll take on an undercard later this month after a few weeks off.
[break][break]
LIKE A LIONESS: A filly of hard to find bloodlines. She's a fairly HOTY savvy horse, having placed in multiple HOTY races during her 2 year old year. She hasn't been under my ownership for long, but I plan to ease her back into HOTY races as she did fairly well in them from her record last year. She'll be taking on the Provincia Derby this week, hopefully it will bring her back into her A game.
[break][break]
A TRUE HERO: Hero is a bit of a different sort of horse, he's the 'village clown' so to speak. Back in May he secured a win in the Summer Cup G4 Turf which brought some excitement on my end, gotta love those seasonal cups. He managed to narrowly place third in the Seashell Cup G4 Turf, but losing doesn't truly put this horse off his game. I am currently debating on where I plan to put him this month in terms of racing.
[break][break]
SILENT HEART: A gorgeous older filly that's the sweetest of the bunch. She managed to secure second place in the Seashell Cup G4 Dirt last week and she's no stranger to the occasional HOTY race. She finds herself 2 wins away from G2, where the races get tougher. For now she'll be in the undercards until she becomes accustomed to her new jockey.
