At the end of breeding season, Firestone Racing is proud to announce that seven of the Firestone broodmares are successfully carrying foals for the Y16 season. Out of the seven mares, two by the names of Strike The Win and The True Fallen For, this season will be their last before they retire to Firestone Stud's lush pastures for the rest of their lives. Head of Ranch Jenna Stafford along with her assistant, and Firestone jockey, Johnny Garner were both pleased with how the mares handled the breeding season. "For some of them, this is nothing. Both Baby and Fallen are old pros at this, along with Terror Smile, Furaccabad, and Precocious. We have a few maiden mares in this bunch. Sophie's Voice and Higher Access are both first time momma's, and we're going to keep an eye on them closer to foaling to see how they react." Jenna Stafford said in a recent interview. "Sophie's Voice was bred to our own Aquatic Addiction. After a tremendous Y15 season from both of them, we figured they would be the perfect match." The True Fallen For will have her foal delivered at Firestone Racing, but when weaning time comes the foal will be shipped off to Nature Blue Stables as part of an in-utero sale made by Carter Leeson. The foal will be a half-sibling to the Sophie's Voice foal. The foal out of Higher Access was sold to Malibu Racing and will stay with the momma until the time is right. Three other foals will be shipped to Firestone Stud from Nature Blues and Valkyrie Stables respectively, making the total Y16 Firestone crop at eight horses. "We are very excited to see what this crop will do. I personally am very excited for our Aquatic Addiction x Sophie's Voice foal. I'm waiting to see what that one will do in the sprinter ranks."
