Y15 RETIRING HORSE ROSTER
It is with great honor that we announce the retirement of three horses from Oceanic View Stables. They will, of course, finish out racing the rest of year fifteen before being retired. Plans have already been made for breeding as well as future showing plans exclusively through OVS's sister barn, Renegade Farms. Below we have included details of each horse and any possible plans coming up for them.
Apollo Bear
Retired as: Grade One
Apollo Bear, affectionately known as "Olio" around the barn, has been retired halfway through the year. Owners Felicity and Blake decided it was time to retire the six year old stallion a few months ago no matter his grade. He surprised them later that week by winning his thirteenth win and snatching the Grade One title in his last race. The black thoroughbred seems to be taking to his new relaxed lifestyle well but has yet to lose his lanky build. Breeding plans are still up in the air but will be carefully utilized with unique bloodlines. Outside of his stud life, Apollo Bear will be introduced to regular riding and possibly begin his career as a show horse at Renegade Farms.

Handsome Tabby
Retired as: Grade One
Handsome Tabby, or "Tabs", has become a loving favorite around the barn as well as on the racing scene. The original began his life at Valkyrie Stables and did well starting his career in his three year old season. He has won 15 races so far but is expected to gain several more before the end of year fifteen. Tabs may not have the most impressive record, as he has dominated the undercard races all of his career, but has formed a very respectable career. Only placing out of the money twice, he showed his favoritism for the longer distances. The golden stallion will continue to race in undercards but owner Felicity has plans to place him in HOTY races to boost his final year as a racer. As for the future, Tabs has breedings lined up for Y16, including an OVS home bred that will be named Cat Call. He will go through training to see if he would be interested in a career outside of racing and breeding.
