Firestone Stud is pleased to announce the arrival of two of the first Y15 babies to come out of a large batch of 8 mommas.
At 3:19am two mornings ago, Santana Secret went into labor and twenty minutes later, out popped a bright eyed and bushy tailed chestnut colt. This little guy is out of our very own Red Herring, and is one of the two babies being born out of him in Year Fifteen. After much debate on a name, the Red Herring colt will be named Red Hot Secret. Being allowed turn out, this colt follows his momma wherever he goes, and he is often found racing around the paddock at top speeds. Both Carter and Jenna are looking forward to the potential that this little guy will bring.
Last night, another one of the Firestone mares went into labor. The True Fallen For is no newbie at foaling and handled everything like a champion, and she gave birth to a regal looking bay filly. This girl is out of Stride Of Perfection's stallion Worldbreaker, who's only offspring are just starting their racing careers. We've noticed that she tends to hang out in the corner of her stall with momma Fallen, minding her own business and keeping to herself. That is why we have decided to name her Peacebreaker, a combination of both parents as her name. Her long legs make it easier for her to carry the tough distances of 9-12 furlongs, but Carter and Jenna have no doubts on this filly.
