Here was one stallion that Rick knew he couldn't miss out on and he weaved his way through the crowds with Ethan Marino on his tail. The yearling & weanling trainer was of the same mind as Rick. This was a stallion that they both got good vibrations from and a sire that they were both sure was going to make a marked impact and they wanted to see this stallion for themselves. Rick whistled in appreciation and Ethan's eyes silently assessed the dark bay stallion, missing nothing and taking every inch of him in. He was easy on the eyes with a trim build and intelligent eyes. Yes, he liked what he saw.

"Where have they been hiding you?" Ethan mused aloud and Rick had to nod in agreement. "I know that look Marino...you're planning...and drooling. Better shape up before the Oceanic View team catches you with your mouth hanging open..." Ethan glared over at the stud manager, but quickly looked back to continue observing the long-lost Out of the Darkness.

Amber Black knew what her second stop would be. Out Of The Darkness had shown up after years gone. Meadow Creek had come back as Oceanic View, Amber knew, and they had managed to track down their originals with them. It made her happy, particularly this one. This was a uniquely lined turf router stud with one foal on the ground, Prancing In The Darkness, who had in turn become a great racehorse and sire. This was a foundation line. Amber loved collecting those. They helped keep her breeding program diverse, and she wouldn't have it said that her turf lines were anything but spectacular.

She stepped up just behind two men who she vaguely recognized from Intrepid. She really didn't know Nick's staff as well as she should. She heard what they said and couldn't help grinning and responding. I'd like to know where they've been hiding him as well. Gorgeous horse. Was fantastic back in the day on the tracks. I remember him... Her voice trailed off as she remembered days gone by, green eyes intent as she stared at the stallion thoughtfully.

Felicity had tried to look nice for the sales and stallion open house. That morning started with nice jeans, a new sweater and she actually tried to make her unruly hair behave. But by the time lunch rolled around, her sweater was ditched for her favorite jacket and her jeans were covered in the usual slime smudges. Typical of a horse woman. They never really were clean animals.

Felicity emerged from GM Halloweentown's stall and noticed Out of the Darkness had some visitors. It was no surprise. He was a popular stop at the open house. And for good reason. Appearing after eight years tended to do that in the racing world. He was the sire of Prancing in the Darkness, a very successful G1 racer. The dark stallion was bound to throw a few more good foals before retirement and that's what Felicity planned to do.

"Amazing isn't he? Gone for eight years and he still can draw a crowd." Felicity laughed and joined the men peering in the stall. The dark stallion was content and nibbled mindlessly at his hay, oblivious to the attention. "You'd never guess he was a hell fire on the track the way he's acting now."
