Midnight Sun was one of Nature Blues leading older mares and she was a feisty one at that. She was set to retire in Y15 and she would be paired with Tears of Blood. She was a prize mare and she would put up an amazing fight. Her field was massive and luckily only mares and fillies were the only gender here. She was proudly up against Daydream, Dirty Diana, Allouette Divine, Ventura, and Crowned Queen. Her main issues were Dirty Diana and Ventura. Dirty Diana Terri knew quite well her antics were harsh but she could pull off a win at the end and then Ventura the Impressario daughter with the willpower to throw Sunny for a joyride. Terri saddled up the black mare and would head out to the tracks where David Monroe was on the back of Tears No More.
Tears No More was up against a heavy field as well where he would come face to face with his half brother Tears of Blood who was also quite known in the sprinting division. Rules of Passion was in the mix to and she was doing incredibly well. The bay son of Cryin' Out Loud was an impressive Grade Two and he was also facing Loud and Clear and favorite Forbidden to Fly. Trouble was known for his immediate speed right out of the gate and into the lead showing his sire's attitude was fierce within him. He was not a horse to mess with today his attitude had been mean and angry rearing up when he could before he was trotted away to start the breeze.
Sunny approached Trouble with a nasty glare in her eyes as if she was gonna school the colt on how things would be done however Trouble was not paying attention and sprinted away to the start with Sunny right next to him with the strong will to run. Both horses were side by side not letting anyone pass each other. Sunny was a trickster and she would push Trouble as hard as she could to tire him out. She did however slow her pace as did Trouble did before the two went at it again and bursted out passed the back stretch expanding their stride's and speed to a new notch. Upon the final turn however, Midnight Sun was not done and she took off with everything she had.
Trouble fought for his position and he bumped into Sunny nipping at her every chance he got before the black mare took off in front of him. He bit into his bit and took off with everything he had until the wire approached where the black mare beat him by a length. Trouble had not been pleased with this race but he would be better come race day.
