STARFIRE Jockeyed by Meredith Hently
Fevrier Maiden Workout - Feb Wk1
The New Year was finally here and Meredith would be taking out a Bucephalus daughter out on the track. StarFire was a proud filly standing strong and proud. She was a daughter to Fly High Silver a very old lined mare and the dam of the great Geronimo. Sparx as she was named in the stables was a very small filly standing at least 15.1h even. She was full of speed and agility that Meredith needed hard gloves to keep the reins tight within her grasp. She was a monster showing no kindness to anyone. She would do Bucephalus proud as she would entered in her first race of the juvenile season with the Fevrier Maiden. StarFire came from lines as the legendary Augusto as her Grand-Sire something Meredith and the staff was proud of.
Pocahontas of Durango Racing stables was taking gate one a filly of the same spitfire of Sparx. Noah's Radiance of also Nature Blue Stables took gate two. A Radiance son at best which meant he came from the legendary True Enough lines. StarFire proudly placed in Gate three. Fleet Street took gate four proudly for Akita Rose Stables. Each of these horses were wonderful and had all potential of winning this race. StarFire was a proud stalker on the track she would break from the gate easy using the entrance of the gate to take a look at her fellow racers raising her head to check out which horse would find their path to the lead.
Meredith galloped the filly easily out as she began to take in what would StarFire do. The filly was arrogant to the knees as she ran out with a slow stance. The filly would be monstrous out there when she would mock the other racers. Picking up the pace, Sparx galloped faster along the dirt beneath her, her breathing normally with normal strides to gain. Sparx would run on the tips of her hooves like a fragile porcelain doll. "Alright StarFire time to go girl." She said clicking her tongue loudly as the filly took the signal proudly and extended her strides evenly past the furlong pole. StarFire ran her ground staying upon a path of the track.
She pushed her way to the finish as she then came to a slow on her own. Sparx was highly intelligent and she knew what steps to take and what poles to extend over. "A little feisty this morning Sparx?" Meredith said trotting the filly off the tracks. Her first race was accountable and she would put effort into her running stance. StarFire would be in her prime as she preferred running against colt's than filly's she would work with both just to succeed further. She demanded a competition and so she would get one with the horses on this field.
