Intrepid Racing Stock Climbing Ranks
Since the steady and consistent return of major established stable, Intrepid Racing, the racing stock has been making consistent climbs and upgrades to be major contenders for the major derbies and stakes races. With a lot of stock, it is easy to loose track of what horse has accomplished what and so The Gallop has decided to do a selective piece on four of the horses found at Intrepid, who are making bounds and strides on the race tracks.
Princetta
Currently a Grade Four four year old filly, this nearly white turf runner is one win from reaching Grade Three. She is just coming off the GHF tracks with a solid win on the turf and is prepping to step up into the bigger turf races. Since her return to the turf tracks back in August after some successful starts in January, Malva, as she's known around the barn, has started six times and placed in the money every single time with three wins, a place and two shows. She has shown to be a deadly closer and her quieter nature is what allows this filly to sneak up on the leaders before it is too late. Trained and ridden by Beth Cavallo, the tracks are eager to see where she is going to take this champion in the making.
Predator
One of the most aggressive horses in the Intrepid Racing string has been making a huge impact on the dirt. In his return race to the dirt, he took third place in the coveted Novizio Derby and has only climbed up in his placings since. With five starts to his name since September, this original stallion has been circling the winner's circle with three places, one show and a recent win on the GHF dirt tracks from November Week 1. This last week win, bumped Predator up into the Grade Three realm and doesn't show signs of slowing down. Adele Rodgers is this boy's sole rider and handler and she is showing us that the two of them are a lethal duo. Be ready to see this bay stallion rocket to the winner's circle in the upcoming weeks.
Ramirez
Be wary of this full-sibling to Grade One, Knight Rousseau. This Night Stalker son is quickly scaling the ranks with three wins since his return to the tracks. His most recent win was this past week on The Wire, claiming the race named after his very own sire in the Night Stalker Stakes. This win has placed the bay three year old two wins off from climbing to Grade Three and Kyle Landing, Ram's jockey, seems confident that the colt will indeed upgrade before the end of the year.
Bellefire
There has been another dirt filly found shining in the Intrepid Racing barns and her name is Bellefire. Another Adele Rodgers mount is climbing the ranks with a quick ferocity. This bay filly sired by War Admiral and out of Vintage is a half-sibling to Admiral's Revenge and Firebird. In the past three months, Lily has climbed two grades up to Grade Three. With six starts since her return in August, Lily has won four races and shown in the other two, a major accomplishment for any horse. She took off half of October and looks to be making a sharp return in November. This is one dirt filly that the competition should be keeping an eye out for.
