JAZZAWAY Jockeyed by Lawrence Kaine
BEN'S BREEDER'S STAKES WORKOUT
The two horses were on sync with each other. Ben was a closer and like to come from behind the pack. He allowed Jazz to pull forward and waiting for the right moment to take his place in the lead. Jazz however loved to tease his opponents he would challenge Ben as he raised his tail and whinnied to seek the bay colt's interest. And the two horses passed the last turn and Ben only 1 length behind Jazz before Ben decided to change his every motion. The colt moved his feet to a full complete gallop. The colt then moved away from the railing before coming to the outside of Jazzaway before sneaking up on him to find his stride.
The horses were neck and neck and Jazz of course began to slow as his lengths were not at much as Ben. Ben pulled away with no hesitation to make sure Jazz knew who he was dealing with. GS Super Charged then took off gaining another gear 2 lengths passed Jazzaway as he then passed the wire. The horses then came to a walk as sweat swarmed their entire bodies. "You worried at all about this race?"[/i] Lawrence asked as he took off his goggles and praised Jazzaway as a job well done.
"Of course I'm worried but, Ben knows what he can handle and what he can't. I really want this race for him but, Italian Ice has won both races." He said as he praised Ben who held his head high. Chris needed this race for Ben it would be a miracle for the colt. The bloodlines he held was great but, he was not a failure but, they had a lot of races to win to become a grade 1 racer. Chris could imagine them in the winner's circle holding those flowers. Now it was off to the Breeders stakes to face their greatest competition yet.

BEN'S BREEDER'S STAKES WORKOUT
[/i] Lawrence told Chris with concern. Ben rose his head with a snort before moving in a canter. Ben surely knew who he was up against now and would not give remorse to his competitors. "I know that Ben will not give up. He has raced with Crown before and almost had him. Italian Ice is a great horse but, I believe Ben could do better if he works for it." Chris said petting the bay colt as the horses started to come to a gallop coming to the back stretch.Chris had been prepared for the worst for these races. He had been worried for his equine friend below his very bottom GS Super Charged. Ben was a horse that was identical towards his sire's aggressive nature. However, the colt was a bit more settled to the stallion. He took on both tracks but, favored the dirt more or less in racing. Chris had a strange feeling about this race. Ben's last race was the Cococabana Derby here at The Wire where he came in first place against Van Guard a horse with potential.
As much as Chris wanted to pair this workout with Gambler he was not suit for the distances. Lawrence Kaine joined the two with Jazzaway a grade 4 colt that matched Ben's point in races but, different distances as well. Jazzaway was the son of Jazzman out of Point Away. He was breaking for the time being and the thought of him building Ben's confidence towards the big race was brought to their immediate attention. Ben had lost twice to Italian Ice and while the filly was a true competitor, Chris would make sure Ben would be right at her hind all the way through if not taking the lead.
Just a few weeks ago, Radiation Therapy had been the one to build up for Ben but, not his week. They needed a more experienced horse to help the bay colt. Ben started with a nice trot from the start and Lawrence aided Jazz to follow soon after. The black colt moved with a steady pace while looking at Chris, Lawrence held his reins strongly. "I sure hope you know what your doing Chris. Italian Ice seems pretty intent on winning."
