[Cosmic Warfare] & Nick Landing - Prep
Alluring Assault was on fire. Nick knew that the same blood flowed within the grey stallion's veins. This wasn't blood to be sneered at. It was the blood of a two Time Breeder's Cup Turf winner and Twilight Stake Winner on both sides of his pedigree.
It wasn't bloodlines that this stallion struggled with, it was finding his flow and Nick was almost certain that the stallion had finally matured to seriously be a serious turf threat like his half-sister who was one win away becoming grade one. There was a trend evolving with the FS Waylay Attack prodigy. They were slow to develop, but when they came into their own, they were to fiercely feared as turf monsters. Cosmic Warfare was a determined stallion and Nick knew that this year was going to be a shining one for him.
He's had a solid start and Nick was only hoping to bring him even further as he was with Allure. It could not be mistaken though. Cos was not Allure. He was more boisterous, confident and even more determined than his half-sister. He literally had never met a challenge or foe he wasn't willing to take on and Nick loved that about the colt.
He had a race upcoming and it was a rather big field, but he was sure that the stallion would do his all. Right now his job was simply to encourage that spark of determination.
They had warmed up and so had the stallion's temper. He let a buck fly as he cantered, his mouth pulling at the bit. He looked every bit the white charger and Nick was more than ready to ride him into battle. He didn't even have to ask for more. He simply eased his hand and the grey shot off like a comet. Streaking over the turf, they flew as one. The stallion's imagination was in full swing as he sweeped by the competitors claiming his win handily. Nick encouraged the fantasy...feeding him more rein and giving him more leg.
Nick felt the raw power underneath him as he pulled up closer to the grey and they ran heart to heart down the turf as the wind tried to rip him from the back of his mount. Oh yes...they were racing out of the past, out of previous conceptions....they were racing to their glory and their end in the winner's circle...yes...they were outta here and out of the realm of reality...they had entered the dream of every jockey and horse as the thunder of hooves spurred them to their goal..
Yes the dream world was about to collide with reality and Nick knew they were about to shatter all limits.
