Coming Clean [closed/Jacey]

It had taken some persuading, but Matthias had finally got Jacey to agree to leave their beautiful daughter with his brother for a short while so that they could spend some time together. Of course, she had fussed about feeding and changing, but Matthias had ensured that there was enough powder for some bottles - even though Amira was primarily breast fed she fed from a bottle when Matthias was up with her during the night - and had ensured that Lucas would be okay for a short time. The night before, they had thrown their plan into action, and Jacey had no idea what was happening - she certainly had no way to know that a stallion worth about ten thousand dollars was on his was to meet her. Matthias was glad he knew Jordan personally, and that he had been more than willing to help him out. After leaving the bar, him and Lucas had met with Jordan to explain their current situation and everything had fallen in to place.

The trainer watched as the horse trailer, pulled by a large range rover, was brought up the drive and once it stopped Jordan came and shook Matthias' hand. "Well, he's here. Want to take a look before your missus gets here?" he asked and Matthias nodded, walking to the trailer and climbing in through the side door. The sight which greeted him was fantastic, the bay sabino arabian stud was a handsome creature indeed, and he knew Jacey was going to love him.

"Can't believe you're letting this one go." Matt commented and Jordan shrugged. "He hasn't done much show-wise because of the injury when he was a foal, but he has thrown a few nice foals himself. You should see the colt we are keeping from him, an absolute stunner. Your missus is one lucky lady. Can't believe she doesn't know how loaded you are." Matthias shrugged as he climbed out of the trailer again, walking to lean against the range rover. "She soon will." he said, and they fell into silence as they waited for Jacey to arrive.

Jacey sat quietly in the office, staring at the documents on her desk. She took a deep breath and stood up, glimpsing at the engagement ring on her finger. She sighed and stood up from her chair, letting out a deep sigh. She walked out the office, locking the door behind her, and walking down the row of stables to the entrance of the barn. She walked out to see her fiancee stood there, with someone, discussing something, behind them, a large trailer. She stopped behind Matt. Hey handsome, she said, kissing him on the cheek. New racehorse? She said, gazing at the large trailer. Little did she know that this was a glimpse of the future.

As Jacey arrived he turned to embrace her, holding her to his muscular chest. Part of him was happy to see the shocked look on Jordan's face, obviously Jordan had not expected his fiancee to be as stunning as she was and he could not help feeling a swell of pride. This was his wife, inside the house was his daughter and in that trailer... In that trailer was just a glimpse of their future. Of course, Jacey was going to assume it was a new racehorse. Their house was, after all, at a racing stable, but he just shook his head. "No, not a racehorse... Why not take another guess?" he teased her, tilting her head with his hand. "Because I don't think you'll be able to guess it."

Gazing over Jordan, she couldn't help but think what he was thinking by his facial expressions and actions. She placed her hand on Matts chest, closing her eyes and smiling. She listened for his response, moving away at what he said after he tilted her head. She didn't think she'd be able to guess it either. Leaning back on Matt's side, she giggled. I don't know... She giggled. Can I peek in? She giggled again, moving away from him and locking her hands together tightly. She was excited and the grin of her face showed just how she was feeling.

Matthias could sense Jacey's growing excitement. It wasn't physically obvious, not to start with anyway. But there was something in her smile, in the gleam of her eyes. She wanted to know what was in the box, she was almost desperate to find out. He considered toying with her for a while, making her wait to find out, but he knew he couldn't do it... She was so sweet, he always ended up feeling guilty. Instead, he watched as she moved toward the box and smiled, moving to Jordan's side.

"Of course you can, baby. It's all yours." he told her. Jordan grinned, clearly as excited to see Jacey's reaction as Matthias and the two men, who had long been friends, shared one of those looks. The knowing ones, that spoke volumes. They were both in on the secret that Jacey was about to discover.

Jacey's chest rose and fall with the words that he said. She bit her lip in an attempt to make the excitement a little bit tamer, but when she walked over to the box and opened lowered the ramp, the gasp that came from her mouth was unbelievable. She gazed at the large arabian stallion, a huge bald face and four white socks. She breathed heavily and pinched herself before the tears of joy streamed down her face. She ran over to Matt and grinned, leaping into his arms and bursting into tears. Oh my god I can't actually believe it! She said, sobbing onto his shoulder with the tears of joy. Thank you Matt, She said, wiping the tears away.

As the words left his mouth it seemed that her excitement level burst it's seams and came spilling out. She practically ran to the trailer and despite fighting to bring it under control it was still there. Jordan smiled, shaking his head a little at Matthias - she had not even opened the box yet. The anticipation was clear, and as Jacey lowered the ramp she seemed to become more emotional than she had previously been, literally bursting into tears as she ran back to him.

Matthias held his fiancee in his arms, stroked her hair gently and kissed the top of her head. "You better believe it Jace, tomorrow your meeting my parents and I think there is something I should probably tell you. Do you want to sit down for a moment?" he asked her as Jordan walked off to unload the stallion and take him to his newly designated stall. "I mean, what I have to say might come as a shock to you."

Jacey bit her lip and tried to hold the tears in. The black mascara smears down her face cleared up as she wiped them away. She watched as Jordan smiled and though her overwhelming excitement had got a little out of control, it was now obvious to why it happened. She stayed in her arms and felt him stroking her hair and kissing her head. Listening to the words that came out of his mouth. She moved away and her smile turned to a straight face. Erm, okay... She said, sitting on the footstep of the box. She couldn't help but watch as the stallion trotted elegantly, his knees rising high. She smiled and looked back at Matt, awaiting his explanation.

Matthias bit his lip as he looked down at her. His beautiful fiancee who he had been keeping quite the secret from. He didn't even know how to tell her, some people got touchy about things like this and he had been putting it off and putting it off until he reached this moment. Now he had no choice but to tell her, because tomorrow she would find out anyway and she would be even more angry if he had not told her at all.

"Me and Lucas... We aren't exactly normal. I mean, it's not like we're different in a bad way it's just I haven't been one hundred percent honest with you. While I have never lied to you, I have omitted a fact that you should really know..." he paused, trying to find his words and the confidence to continue, glancing away from her in shame. He hated himself for not telling her before now, he didn't know how to handle this situation.

"Well, it's just... You see... I'm rich, Jacey, and not just by a little bit. I may wear normal clothes, act normal, and usually drive a normal car but if you look at my bank balance then you'll realise why I was encouraging you to spend big on the wedding..." he took a deep breath. "I hope you won't be angry with me, for not telling you before I mean."

Sitting on the footstep, she twiddled her thumbs and listened to her fiancee. Sighing, she looked up at him, the words coming out of his mouth making sense. Fixing the pieces together, she finally realised why he hid it from her. She was thankful that he was being honest. But then, he said it. He wasn't just a little bit rich, he was fully loaded. Jacey gasped and looked up, she felt a bit light headed. Standing up and almost fainting, she walked forward and fell into his arms. She looked back up at him and hugged him. Thank you for being honest. She said.
