ALUCARD (Scripture's Sapphire x Finale Slew)
Bursting onto the scene in his final season, Alucard rewarded the patience of the farm by winning both of his January starts in dominating fashion. His first start of the year was a short field in the Kickstart Mile, winning against classic-winner Ultimate Revenge. His second win came in a slightly larger field of the Unicorn Horn Dirt Sprint against champion 3yo sprinter Silent Snap, among others. With this incredibly hopeful start to the year, we are very excited to see how far Alucard will go.
MARE SPOTLIGHT
STALKING THE STARS (Night Stalker x Shooting Star)
After an unbelievable undercard season last year, Star showed her willingness and readiness to break into the HOTYs by first coming in second to veteran Desert Amber in the San Juan Capistrano Stakes, then later winning the Washington DC International over good mares Miss Josephine and Lissome in week four. This this very strong start to her year, watch for Stalking the Stars to continue to make an impact in the filly and mare turf division.
