Issue One: Start the Rumor Wheel
Well, here we are at the end of GHF Y11 and on the verge of Y12. Things are drawing to an end, but that doesn't mean the gossip is.
Jockey Romance?
It is rumored that there are a few relationships going on on the tracks.
A few months ago Jacey Rose suddenly announced her pregnancy...and who you may ask is the father....we were wondering that too. We have a few suspicions about a sudden partnership between Kacey Hill Racing and Silver Stride Stables leads us to suspect the lead trainer Matthias, but then again that's just a guess.
Another rumored jockey relationship is between in-house jockeys, Aiden Smith and Becky Andrew from Triple Krown Racing. The duo were just recently spotted attending The Wire social together....we're interested to see if this relationship interferes with their racing or improves it...maybe this relationship will help improve their racing....we'll have to wait and see.
Dinner bets were seen being exchanged between owner, trainer and jockey Nick Landing and Amber Black. The Y11 BC Filly/Mare and Turf will determine who's buying the food....but we're buying that there is more than food involved in this seemingly innocent bet.
Horse Talk
Everyone seems to be on edge prepping for the GHF Breeder's Cup. Eclipse, a three year old filly from Kacey Hill suffered a break down in her workout...the filly made it through surgery fine, but we can't help, but wonder if maybe the stress is really starting to get to people and their horses.
Just a word to the wise, be careful working your horses and be safe in your prep. Don't forget to rest your mounts!
On the lighter side about to turn two horses have been seen starting to emerge on the tracks here at The Wire...we'll definitely be keeping our eyes on the tracks for these new up-and-comers.
