David Monroe had been with Nature Blues for awhile now a little over half a year and he was assigned to A Royal Legacy. The bay son to HoF Merry Bay King was having a tough season here and there and many were on edge to retire him but David felt strong that he would come to his glory days here real soon. This season Roy would be taken to the turf surfaces where it seemed most of Merry Bay King's foals progressed and this was Roy's final season before he would retire. The stallion was having his struggles and David had retrained his style a bit so the stallion would get noticed more. He was in his prime moment but this year would be his David would help him there.
Chris was on a high note one of the first jockey's at Nature Blues and the one to ride the prideful GS SuperCharged would now be taking Livin' The Jazz for a run in his final season as well. He would run this whole year making his name in the turf square where he would retire in Y16 to have a hot date with the hot headed Passion Heart which made Chris shiver to somewhat. Jax was a sweet stallion but he could throw some moods out there when he felt like it. Jax had been quite wired up lately and felt cooped up so Chris would proudly get him out and about. Jax was a stallion to be ready and prepared.
Carlos would also feel the same way he had walked out Dancing Fool, a three year old colt who was the full sibling to the accomplished Moondance. He was going strong and was preparing for the Triple Crown but would be worked on another day for the big race. He would do places this season and would take on larger challenges for the better. When the three males approached each other they all butted heads turning away from each other before each Jockey corrected their movements.
Roy would clash with Bane to take the lead as Jax would stay behind taking a bit more to find his strides. Bane shot for the outside while Roy remained in the middle staying close to the 3 year old pushing his strides. Jax started to pick up the pace with his saved energy and followed through coming from the inside but not to harshly. Chris would keep him at a steady distance to let the front runners dash it out before tiring. Bane however began to calm his pace as he nipped and bit at Roy since he didn't get along all to well with other colts or stallions he grew angry at them.
However, it was Jax and Roy to follow forward pushing Bane to drop back but Jax managed to outsmart the Merry Bay King son. The homestretch came but with a breeze as Livin' The Jazz extended his strides to beat Roy by a nose and the two beating Bane by a length. An interesting pair these three made however Bane would lash out at them before being rushed back to the stalls as Roy and Jax took their times to trot before resting.
