Arlequinn won this based on his overwhelming maturity, both physically and mentally, and his drop from the high class Sunset Stakes. That said, he will need a workout before he continues on to bigger things. He has been raced consistently, but if he is to continue his assent, he needs to work. Daring Vision had the most recent workout and I really saw him trying for an upset. He is still young though and will need to grow into himself as a three year old, but definitely a horse to watch. I'm a big fan of My Kingdom Come, but she needed a workout and didn't seem to stand out as much as the top two.

Dirty Diana took this race and made it her own. She has been on fire this season and I couldn't see her placing anywhere but the lead. Mighty News put in a solid effort, but he does need a workout Cav. He had the class to pull off second today, but he just needs to be worked. Daddy's Overdraft has been one of my favourites but she just fell short to the top two today. She put in a great effort and ran a solid race. Handsome Tabby is a great horse but couldn't manage to rally against the top three today.

Rules of Passion may have won this if she'd had a workout. She had maturity on Siren Call, but Siren Call had racing experience and a precociousness developed by the high class two year old races.

Very nice group of two year olds but I saw shenanigans taking this one. She's certainly starting to come around for you Kenny and she's likely to give the boys a big run for their money in next years triple crown.

The top four were very closely matched. Eavesdropper was just outclassed in this group, though he has a lot of potential for next year. I hated placing Girl Talk fourth, but her strength of schedule just hasn't had quite the quality of high-level races that the others exhibit. Second and third could have gone either way, but I finally settled on Refute in front of Taboo. Trinity, I felt, has been sitting on a big win for awhile and she absolutely roared by the leading Refute in the last furlongs. Nothing was turning her back today. I look forward to seeing these guys in the BC if they run!
