Expectation Running Stakes Workout
Livin the Jazz had moved from stable to stable to stable when finally the owners of Nature Blues came across the 4 year old. He would finally be at his last home where he would race to get his name known. He was entered here at the wire at a race called the Expectation Running Stakes. He was a fine stallion and couldn't be seen not living up to his potential. Jax was best on turf surfaces unlike both his siblings he was specifically bred for the grassy plains. He was a wonderful horse and David was a new jockey for a newly welcomed horse.
Taking him down to the tracks Jax rose his head ready. The stallion was a well matured boy who was well determined to win his race fair and square. David was experienced growing up on a farm and he was proud to be riding a well known horse. He ran up to 11 furlongs and would be ran evenly throughout the track. Walking him out onto the track Jax juggled the bit in his mouth as he moved his head from side to side getting the feel of the grass on his hooves after a long break. Jax was still getting used to the human on his back but he knew why he was there and he didn't mind him. In Jax's mind the human was his rider who also wanted to prove he was great.
Jax went into a gallop moving slowly as usually was his normal routine as a closer. He was sired by well known stallion Jazzman out of Livin the Dream, both highly classed racers it was a perfect match. It would seem at the moment he was the only entrant in this race as Durango Racing's closed their doors. Holding onto the reins Jax pulled on them to release his neck from his grip and pulled faster into the track getting the feel of the track again made Jax happy to know that he could be a horse once again. He was a little bugger that was for sure but he was a loving horse.
He gained another speed moving like a missile switching gears so rapidly made David hang on for dear life as the horse made his strides go farther apart to make his time more equivalent. He had all the potential in the world just like all the other horses out there. February was a few weeks away and Livin the Jazz would put his energy into winning the race with all the might he had. It was definitely a good entry after a few weeks rest. The back stretch came easy for Jax as did the last turn when he gave it all he had just to get to the finish line. He passed a few trotting horses as it was and passed the wire with his head down and body relaxed after. Jax felt stronger and with this workout he felt better after the run. A newest addition to Nature Blues he would most definitely get the works he needed.
